Nice welcome. Answered questions and came back with answers that were unknown. Very pleasant staff. Food was great. Seating was comfortable. Temperature and cleanliness was good. Relaxing ambiance. Bar looks like it would be fun for drinks. Simple decor not busy. Open kitchen. Quick service. Hot food.

Pretty much regulars there. We go once up to 3 times a month. Our daughters love the egg drop soup and orange chicken. I usually get the pork buns (and snag some of the kids food). My wife tries a little of everything and she is the picky one and this is by far her favorite Chinese restaurant. Probably because they seem to be more authentic than other Chinese restaurants we have tried!! Recommend to all my friends!!

I'm in the odd position of giving a restaurant 4 stars because of odd, non fatal tweaks to dishes that are otherwise well executed. Deep frying potstickers, well those aren't potstickers then, they're crispy gyoza or mandu, but the filling was tasty. Why not just pan fry them. Using chicken breast meat in the kung pao and orange chicken, why not use chicken thigh, which is cheaper and tastier. Piling up the sliced beef and tripe in the fuqi feipian but not mixing it with the mala seasonings, but the quality of the meats were really good. It's weird, it's all weird. Then the cups still carry the brand of Chicago's Lao Sze Chuan, owned by Tony Hu, who was sent to federal prison for tax evasion and money laundering. IDK. Food was tasty. It's just the little things separate it from really being 4 stars, but they're not enough to make it 3.

Wow, this has to be one of the best authentic spicy Chinese food I've ever had. I usually don't tolerate spicy well, this place however can make dishes that ranges from none to a lot. They're accommodating. Service is excellent. Lots of things to choose from on the menu, and the menu have pictures in case youre confused! We tried the fried spicy fish, eggplant with millenial egg, the traditional ma po tofu, and snow pea leaves with garlic (not on the menu but most places have it if you ask). Our fish dish came out super salty, it's kinda like a salt and pepper kinda turn out, so we asked if it could be redone and the owner took care of it for us at no additional cost. Large tables available for large parties otherwise most seatings are for 4~6, booths available.

Love this spot! Came here once after seeing the Yelp reviews and was intrigued by the "numbing" spice. I have never heard of sichuan pepper before or the style of Chinese it entails but: WOW, so much flavor. I cannot exactly describe the flavor of the oils and seasonings used here; it's just that unique. I can say however that it's not the typical spicy people think of, and that because of the numbing zesty tones it's definitely something you can eat without needing to chug water. You can also order something without spice if you're worried! Including traditional Chinese dishes such as stir fry rice, dumplings, etc. The staff is attentive, and the food comes out pretty quickly! The prices aren't bad for the portion you get. Inside the place is huge, way bigger and pretty upscale looking compared to the outside of the building. In summary my boyfriend and I love coming here and now do so about once a week. Our favorite dishes are the "ma po tofu" it's the one main thing to get for the spicy tingly, the "twice cooked pork" which is delicious pork belly but no numbing flavor, and any of the dumplings are delicious. Overall we highly recommend!! We're hoping to eventually plan ahead by ordering the duck (you have to order the day before for that one) and update the review on that. You must try this place!!

They have spice and they have spirit! I went with a group of friends and we had a blast. We ordered a bunch of dishes family style and everything was amazing. We ordered the cumin lamb, red pepper fish fillet, fried eggplant and green beans, pork buns, and mapo tofu. We also had a few shots of this really tasty Chinese liquor that I didn't catch the name of. We are definitely planning to come back in order the duck, but you have to put in the order a day early. The flavor of everything was so good and lingered in my mouth even after the meal was over.

If you are craving spicy, this place is where you want to be! There are also tons of options for non spicy options! Don't be overwhelmed with the menu when you sit down. There are tons of dishes that you can choose from. I would recommend picking some spicy and some nice spicy to try them out. My favorite was the Green Pepper and Eggplants with Century Egg and the Dan Dan Noodles! The eggplant was perfectly made with the century egg and with rice it's a spoonful of flavor. The Dan Dan noodles had the perfect texture in the noodles. It wasn't really spicy so request for it to be spicer if you want a good kick. Hot and Crispy Chicken Bite was delicious!! It's so good that even though the spice was strong I kept picking at it. Definitely must get if you like spicy! Sadly was a little disappointed with the small steamed buns. The meat taste great, but it was lacking the soup. Service was amazing! Friendly staff! We are excited to go back to try other options!
